Pension and Long-Term Savings Funds

Arnon Segev & Co.’s Pension and Long-Term Savings Funds practice, led by Attorney Lee Ben Zaken, is among one of Israel’s most respected in the provision of advice and services to pension funds, provident funds and other long-term savings funds, as well as to new entities wishing to enter the highly regulated Israeli private pension market. Such representation extends to all areas of plan governance and administration and plan restructuring.

In the area of plan governance and administration, our attorneys have extensive knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the public and private pension and provident fund systems in Israel. Representation includes provision of advice and assistance with respect to underlying products, disclosure and reporting requirements, representation before governmental and regulatory authorities, member communication, and drafting and negotiation of agreements with third party service providers.

In the area of pension plan restructuring, the firm regularly advises pension funds, provident funds, long-term savings funds and fund managers, with respect to asset transfers, mergers and acquisitions, and required licensing and approvals. Given our extensive experience, our firm played an instrumental role in implementation of the Bachar Reform handling a majority of the merger and acquisition transactions, involving the transfer of hundreds of billions of NIS from banking institutions to insurance companies and investment managers. Given its recognized expertise and experience, Arnon Segev & Co. regularly advises software companies in connection with implementation of software solutions for the providers of pension and provident funds.
